What do you do as a consultant/coach?
I work primarily with nonprofit organizations and labor unions on organizational change; executive coaching; planning; campaign design and implementation; troubleshooting.
What is your approach?
Listen to the needs of an organization; understand their history and purpose; clarify how they would like me to assist them; bow out when they or I believe that the work has been completed.
How has your experience/background contributed to your work?
I have worked most of my life in the trade union movement, as well as having run an historic nonprofit (TransAfrica Forum). I reached a point in life where it became apparent that full-time/permanent work was less likely, so my wife and I decided to move into consulting.
