What is your approach? 

Develop understanding of mission, vision, goals (ST/LT), structure, and those who populate organization (leaders/staff/clients); gain understanding of (assess) what “hurts” or is missing;; share/clarify/confirm that understanding through (Board),staff and management interface; propose options to address what “hurts” or is missing; work with key staff and other stakeholders to reconceptualize /recruit/rebuild/reset.

How has your experience/background contributed to your work?

  • Elsewhere – National Black United Front.
  • Full-time Jobs – Initially, provider/director of child and family services in local agencies; then, Director of city- and/or county-wide addictions, mental health, sexual assault crisis services. Largest staff recruited and managed – 145.
