This is a new position for RoadMap, one that will be a much-valued and essential role for our team. RoadMap considers executive and administrative support skills to be superpowers. This will be a critical leadership role that will help the RoadMap team become seamless in our work to provide holistic and values-driven capacity building to movement leaders and organizations. As a coordinator in a small organizational team, this position’s essential purpose is to support the Executive Director and provide administrative support to a very collaborative and values-driven program and client services team. This includes also supporting the Executive Director in a wide range of project management, administrative, scheduling, and client management responsibilities.
This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position. Salary starts at $55,000. Benefits include 100% health, dental and vision insurance; medical HRA and FSA; IRA with employer contributions. The position is remote (though preference will be given to applicants in Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia), and the candidate must live and be authorized to work in the U.S.

You are passionate about internal systems, and administrative support, and being part of a prolific team that fully understands that providing administrative and executive support is a superpower. You are unflappable in a fast-paced movement environment (when the movement moves, RoadMap has to move with it!), and you are undaunted by problem-solving because our work with RoadMap clients is always evolving. You take the initiative to understand issues, identify viable options, and develop a plan to implement. You see mistakes as learning opportunities and use coaching, training, and feedback to develop others and support problem-solving. Your attention to detail is excellent, from processing benefits-related paperwork to drafting emails to documenting processes for the team. You approach your role and individual responsibilities with a mind frame of collaborative leadership and thoughtfully support others where they need support. You have an excellent sense of humor, you are highly collaborative and a proactive problem solver and you can keep confidentiality. You over-communicate as a way to make sure everyone can plan for what is here, where we are going, and what is coming down the road. Ideally, you have 4-6 years of requisite experience.
