This document, written for philanthropic executives and trustees, explores three strategies to achieve greater results with limited grant dollars and is based on research amassed over three years as part of the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy’s Grantmaking for Community Impact Project. The report documents benefits for taxpayers and communities in 13 states, and finds that every dollar grantmakers and other donors invested in policy and civic engagement provided a return of $115 in community benefit.
