What do you do as a consultant/coach?
I work at multiple levels of the system (from individual, to group, to organizational) in order to align personal and group practices with their values.
This takes many forms, such as:
- Conflict transformation
- Culture-building
- Values-driven strategic planning
- Rejuvenation and healing
- Coaching groups and individuals
- Racial equity work
- Training and skill-building
What is your approach?
My approach is to stand beside my clients, believing deeply in their dignity and brilliance, reflecting back what is happening in their systems so that the group can move closer towards liberation.
How has your experience/background contributed to your work?
Youth work was my first calling and has informed my stance of coaching and consulting from a strengths perspective. As a teen and young adult, I organized for LGBTQ+ rights, sexual health and affordable housing, and against war abroad and racism at home. I started my career working in c3 / c4 organizations for multiple electoral cycles focusing on reproductive rights, but found myself more drawn to the HOW of our work rather than the WHAT. I was fascinated with our own patterns as a group and how they informed everything from our relationships inside the organization to our strategic choices.
Now I am privileged to work with groups from both a strategy lens and a systems / relational lens.
Relevant certifications or trainings
I am deeply trained in Nonviolent Communication, restorative and transformative justice, circle keeping processes, coaching for transformation, trauma-informed mindfulness, and anti-racist education.
I’m currently training in Gestalt methods for individual and group coaching.
