Our Work

Our diverse, vibrant, and relationships-driven network of capacity builders brings a deep bench of skills, organizing experience, and abiding love and support for our movements. Our approach to capacity building is grounded in the values of liberation and social transformation and we work to replace current oppressive structures with more life-affirming, compassionate, just, and values-driven processes, policies, and practices. We have worked with hundreds of social justice organizations across movements, which has resulted in deep cross-movement relationships and expertise. This resulting broad and complex perspective gives us a “bird’s eye view” across movements, through which we can most effectively troubleshoot, strategize, and build power collectively.

At a high level, our work includes: 

• An intentional intake process that helps us understand an organization’s structure, culture, goals, and pain points.
• Development of tailored capacity building plans and recommended services (including deeper assessments), with a specific eye towards the changing needs of the movement landscape and our unique cross-movement experience.
• Matching members of consultant network to the needs of the organization.
• Developing a scope of work and deliverables plan to help organizations and matched consultants hit the ground running.
• Custom webinars and trainings, as well as direct assistance, assessments, and coaching.
